Bob Simpson

Chief Executive Officer

Bob Simpson joined Dale Medical in 2020 bringing 25 years of experience within the healthcare industry. He is Chief Executive Officer and President of the Board of Directors for the 100% employee-owned global medical device company.

Prior to Dale Medical, Bob was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Vascular Interventions & Therapies global business at AngioDynaimics.

While at Medtronic, he served as the Vice President and General Manager of the Patient Care business, and led strategy and business development for the Patient Monitoring & Recovery global business unit.

He also held various leadership roles in Sales and Marketing during his time at Covidien (Medtronic) and Alcon (Novartis).

Bob is a graduate of the State University of New York at Geneseo where he earned a Bachelor’s in Management Science - Finance, and has completed a comprehensive executive leadership development program at Babson College.

Jim Spitzer

Director of Sales and Marketing

Jim joined Dale Medical Products as Director of Marketing in 2014, contributing to the continued profitable growth in the subsequent years. Jim has held many sales and marketing leadership roles entirely within the medical device and biotechnology industries. He brings a successful track record for launching new products and technologies, providing field sales guidance and support, developing clinical relationships and partnering with key industry opinion leaders.

As an experienced business leader with significant achievement in progressively complex and influential marketing roles, Jim is a versatile performer within both large and small organizations (publicly and privately held). He possesses expert marketing skills for both capital equipment and consumable supplies in domestic and international markets. Jim is an effective communicator with a proven track record of collaboration and matrix/cross-functional leadership. Prior to joining Dale, Jim has held marketing, communications and project leadership roles at GE Healthcare, Neurometrix, IDEXX Laboratories and Associates of Cape Cod.

Jim has a BA in English Literature from Boston University and a MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is also a member of the Board of Governors for Healthcare Manufacturing Management Council and is an active member of several industry-related associations.

Ray Gruneberg

Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs

Ray Gruneberg joined Dale Medical in 2009 as our Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Manager. In that capacity he led our ISO 13485 certification effort in 2010, and is responsible for all Quality and Regulatory activities to ensure our products meet customer and regulatory requirements in the US and around the world. Before joining Dale Medical, he held various leadership positions in QA and Regulatory within the manufacturing sector, having experience with medical devices, textiles, injection molding, precision machining, and electronics. Ray graduated from Roger Williams University in RI with a BS in Industrial Engineering and has stayed current with the ever-changing quality and regulatory requirements of the medical device industry.

Paola Gonzalez is an accomplished professional in the realm of Human Resources, assuming the pivotal role of Director of Human Resources at Dale Medical in 2020. With an illustrious career spanning over a decade, Paola brings a wealth of expertise to the table, adeptly navigating the complexities of policy formulation and compliance oversight within the organization.

Before assuming her position at Dale Medical, Paola served as the Human Resources Manager at Denison Pharmaceuticals, where she spearheaded transformative initiatives focused on diversity and inclusion. With an extensive HR background spanning diverse sectors including pharmaceuticals, food, and jewelry manufacturing, Paola has left an indelible mark. Her leadership acumen and commitment to shaping inclusive workplace cultures have been instrumental in driving organizational success.

Fluent in Spanish, Paola's multifaceted skill set is matched only by her unwavering commitment to staying ahead of the curve. Actively engaged in professional communities such as SHRM, The ESOP Association, and AIM, she remains at the forefront of industry trends and legislative changes, ensuring Dale Medical remains at the pinnacle of HR excellence.

Brian Ducharme

Director of Business Analytics & Customer Service

Brian Ducharme Joined Dale Medical early 2020 as the ERP Systems Administrator working in tandem with Customer Service and Production to promote system efficiencies and process improvements throughout the company. Mid 2021 Brian was promoted to Director of Business Analytics & Customer service, where in this new role he has the responsibility to lead the Customer Experience and Satisfaction levels and drive forth change for process improvement through Data Analytics, Business Modelling, and Key Performance Indicators.

Prior to Dale Medical, Brian spent almost 20 years working at Rogers Corporation in the Industry of Engineered Materials. Brian held several leadership positions during his tenure targeting ERP global standardization with the scope of Order Fulfillment and Data Analytics across the United States and in Asia and Belgium. Brian attended Eastern Connecticut State University and Southern New Hampshire University where his course of studies included Computer Science, Business Management, and Financial Accounting.

Michael Melia

Director of Information Technology

Michael has extensive experience managing multiple areas of the IT Enterprise, including Infrastructure, Security, Help Desk, Application Development and Application Support. He has coached, mentored, and built IT teams that are accountable for delivering software solutions, stable/scalable technology environments, and strategic objectives.

Michael transitioned into management twelve years ago, collaborating with leadership and cross-functional team members to create and execute standards and processes for application selection, and implementation.

Kathy Reed

Director of Finance

Kathleen Reed joined the company in November 2021 as Controller. Prior to joining Dale, Kathleen spent 4 years as Controller of Denison Pharmaceuticals, LLC in Rhode Island. Before that, she held a variety of accounting positions at Textron Inc., CVS Health Corporation, and A.T. Cross Company. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Providence College with a BS in Business Administration. Ms. Reed has over 25 years of experience in the areas of consolidations and financial reporting.

Tom Elder

Director of Supply Chain & Project Management Office

Tom joined Dale Medical in 2015 as the Purchasing Manager and brought over twelve years of experience in this role.  In March of 2021, he was promoted to Sr. Supply Chain Manager.  More recently in May of 2022, Tom was promoted to Director of Supply Chain and Project Management Office.  Aside from sourcing responsibilities and risk management, he is overseeing the administrative aspects of all projects at Dale, whether new product or maintenance of business.  He also leads a team of three people that are responsible for the daily transactional operations at Dale.  
 
Prior to joining Dale, Tom was a Purchasing Manager and Operations Analyst at Ruland Manufacturing.  There, his focus was shifted towards ISO manufacturing standards where he was certified as an internal auditor and helped lead the acquisition of the company's newly granted ISO certification.  
 
Tom attended Westfield State University and Framingham University.  Although initially his path was one in the educational field, he abruptly changed course with all efforts made towards business management and economics.

Sharon Steeves

Director of Market Development

Sharon Steeves has devoted 35 years as a significant contributor to the success of Dale Medical. She joined the company in 1985 as a part-time high school student working in manufacturing, and she transferred to the Marketing Department staff on a full-time basis upon receipt of her A.S. in Business Administration.

She has occupied a progression of positions with diverse responsibilities within the company. In her earlier years, she was instrumental in implementing a formal Quality Management System and establishing a Medicare Reimbursement code of the Dale Tracheostomy Tube Holders.

She served 25 years as Dale’s Product Development Manager, successfully managing product launches and cultivating mutually beneficial relationships with inventors, vendors, lawyers, consultants, and a network of clinicians who provide valuable input to Dale on new or established product ideas.

Sharon was promoted in the summer of 2023 to Director of Market Development where she constantly analyzes product competitiveness, pricing, market position, opportunities, and trends. She also manages Dale’s line of Post Surgical products.

Joao Lima

Director of Manufacturing

Joao joined Dale Medical in 1995 as a material handler. A few years later he became a part of the cutting department. When Dale Medical began its Lean initiative, Joao was developed to be the Continuous Improvement Specialist. In that role he worked with multiple departments and teams to improve and maintain a high level of quality, efficiency and safety throughout the company. He was in this position until 2021 when he was promoted to Production Manager. In 2023 Joao was promoted to Director of Manufacturing.

Joao graduated from Central Falls High School and has a degree from New England Institute of Technology.
